Dog Academy

Dog Academy is an online training resource for dog owners worldwide. Providing step-by-step instructions, information on dog behavior and dog psychology, training tools and more, Dog Academy empowers dog owners to help their four-legged friends be the best that they can be. Along the way, owners learn from a fun community that is dedicated to appreciating and enjoying the wonderful world of dogs.

Campus Store

To compliment our online dog training programs and social networking community, Dog Academy offers a “Campus Store” providing training supplies and a suite of best-in-class dog products - all high-quality, long-lasting, safe and absolutely adorable!

History

Dog Academy founder and President, Jen Heil, has worked with interactive technology and software development since 1995. In March of 2007, she left her role as Chief Technology Officer at MonsterCommerce and later Vice President of E-commerce at Network Solutions to pursue her passion for pets. Combining technology experience, expertise in starting and growing small businesses and her love for animals, Jen set out to make a positive impact for dogs through education, awareness and community support.

Among many other initiatives, Dog Academy donates 10% of proceeds to animal welfare organizations including the Humane Society, ASPCA and local shelters nationwide.

Team

Other members of the Dog Academy team include Marilyn Gaffney, a brilliant dog trainer with 20 years' experience, Clair Jordan, a real-life superwoman who manages day-to-day operations, Jonathan Dakins, a former teacher and psychology graduate who oversees the academic curriculum, Melissa Brown, customer service, and Reeses, Mocha, Seren, and Figo, our four furry companions.
